Abstract

The aim of the current research was the relationship between managers’ managerial style and professional ethics with employees’ self-efficacy in the department of education of Dezful city. The type of present research was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this research includes 865 employees of the Department of Education in Dezful city. A sample of 260 people was selected by convenience sampling. In this research, three Salzman and Anderkulek (1982) managerial style questionnaire, Cadozier's (2009) professional ethics assessment and Riggs and Knight (1994) self-efficacy scale were used. The validity of the research tool was calculated based on the opinions of the professors, as well as its reliability using Cronbach's alpha. Based on this, Cronbach's alpha was estimated at 0.79 for the managerial style questionnaire, 0.84 for the professional ethics questionnaire, and 0.88 for the self-efficacy questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including Pearson's correlation test, Enter regression and Stepwise regression. The findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between managers’ managerial style and professional ethics with employees’ self-efficacy. In addition, the regression analysis showed that 67.5% of the variance of self-efficacy variable is explained by managerial style and professional ethics.
