Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the dominant narratives of schools through a re-examination of the existing research literature. To achieve this objective, a documental research method, specifically a narrative review, was employed. As a result of the search, 178 studies were purposefully selected and analyzed using the interpretive analysis method. In this article, the school's research identity was carefully reviewed in political-ideological, communication, cooperation and exchange, economic-occupational, mental-physical health, organizational-managerial, scientific educational, physical architecture al, and historical dimensions. In this study, Sander's (1989) multidimensional educational management model was used to analyze and classify the existing narratives. The results show that schools in Iran are complex and multifaceted institutions; they are not only places of education and learning, but also centers where social, cultural, political, and economic forces conوverge. This paper emphasizes the need for a comprehensive and multifaceted approach to improving school management in Iran. It covers all its dimensions and is based on diversity, creativity, and critical thinking. Finally, suggestions such as the development of interdisciplinary approaches, strengthening critical research, and paying attention to cultural and social diversity have been made to enhance the quality of the school’s research identity in Iran.
